This program provides non-perishable food to low-income individuals and families by holding mass distributions in each county a few times each year. Commodities are purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture from American farmers and are provided to each state for distribution. In Georgia, the Department of Human Resources (DHR) is the designated agency to handle this distribution process. Concerted Services, Inc. contracts with DHR to provide distributions in our area.
