Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Concerted Services, Inc. (CSI) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in partnership with Waycross Weed and Seed and Valdosta’s CASH Prosperity were proud to offer the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.  During the 2013 tax season, we provided free income tax assistance to low- to moderate-income households with yearly earnings of up to $50,000.  VITA relies on local volunteers who assist individuals and households with free electronic filing of basic tax returns.  Last year, VITA programs throughout the country helped individuals receive millions of dollars back from the IRS through Earned Income Tax and Child Tax Credits for FREE.

And electronic refund payments have been made in as little as 7 days!

Walk in, drop off tax services were available at each of the 18 Concerted Services, Inc.’s Service Centers thru April 15th.  Recipients did not need to be a resident of the county to receive these services.  Only basic tax return services were offered, no itemizations were completed.  Taxes were completed within 48 hours of drop off.  Individuals brought their Georgia State Photo Identification, Social Security Cards for everyone in the household, W-2’s, 1099’s, childcare documentation, last year’s tax returns and any other applicable tax paperwork.

Information about the 2014 tax season is coming soon!
