Grant Accountant in Administrative Office in Waycross, GA
Concerted Services, Inc., a Community Action Agency serving twenty-three counties in Southeast Georgia, is currently accepting applications for the position of Grant Accountant. This position is located at Concerted Services’ administrative office in Waycross, GA.
Under the daily supervision of the Fiscal/Compliance Director, this individual is responsible for managing the agency’s general ledger, cash forecasting and budgeting, as well as monitoring grant awards; including spending activity against grant budgets, drawing down of funds from Federal and State agencies and reconciliation of grant expenditures with general ledger.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures which apply to accounting and finance in non-profit organizations. Experience in grants accounting is also preferred. The ability to make independent judgments which have highly significant impacts on the Agency, and the ability to present and communicate ideas and concepts in public and private, verbally and written, is required. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 2-4 years of experience in grant accounting and/or governmental fund accounting. Head Start Floater/Custodian/Food Transporter in Bacon County (Alma, GA)
Concerted Services, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Head Start Floater/Custodian/Food Transporter in Bacon County. This is a full-time positon 37.5 hours per week, 10 months per year. Salary will be $8.02 – $8.80 per hour depending upon education and experience. Applicants are preferred to have an AA in Early Childhood Education, a CDA and/or experience in Early Childhood Field may be accepted. Applicants will be required to carry out custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, etc. Responsible for transporting food to and from the classroom and assist with serving and clean up of the meals. A copy of ALL diplomas/GED, certificates and transcripts must be submitted with application. Spanish-speaking bi-lingual applicants will be given favorable consideration, the selected applicant is required to have a valid Georgia Drivers License and will be suject to al drug screen and criminal records check.
