Terrance Garden Apartments is a Section 8/202 property for elderly, handicapped and disabled persons. It is conveniently located at 1103 Darling Avenue, just a few blocks from Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, Georgia. Terrance Garden is composed of nine (9) buildings which are 40 apartments and an office/community building. There are 30 one bedroom units and 10 efficiency units. All units are equipped with central heat and air, refrigerator, stove, and emergency pull alarms. All utilities such as water, sewer, garbage, electricity and gas are included in the rent. Rent is based on 30% of adjusted annual income. Medical expenses are deducted from the annual income, but proof will be needed as to the amount the applicant pays his/herself.
- Furnishings in each apartment include, carpet, window blinds, electric stove and frost-free refrigerator.
- Laundry facilities are available in the community building. Washers and dryers are coin-operated.
- Each apartment has central heat/air which are individually controlled.
- The community building will be open during office hours, and various scheduled activities. The building consists of an office, kitchenette, and laundry facilities.
- Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Mail boxes are located in front of the community building. Mail boxes are assigned upon moving in.
- Activities are scheduled on occasions. Attendance is not required.
- The apartment areas are well lighted and patrolled. There is no through traffic on the apartment grounds.
- Proof of citizenship will be needed. This can be done with a birth certificate or social security number.
- Lawn care, maintenance and repairs are provided by the management. Please do not contact individual repair persons.
