RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PROGRAM

The Residential Services Program is a program of housing eligible people in apartments or group homes according to their needs. Funding for this program is through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. An explanation of the different housing programs and their purpose follows.

Elderly Housing

To be eligible for this program, the potential resident must be sixty-two (62) years of age or handicapped/disabled. All residents, however, must meet an income criteria based on requirements as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CSI operates a 40-unit apartment complex in Waycross called Terrace Garden Apartments and a 30-units apartment complex in Baxley called Elderwood Apartments. Consumers pay 30% of their adjusted income in rent, which includes cost for water, gas, electricity, garbage and sewer for the Waycross complex and water, sewer, and garbage for the Baxley complex.
