Senior Citizen groups from Appling, Bulloch, Candler, Evans, Jeff Davis, Long, Tattnall, Toombs, and Wayne counties came together on November 19th for a fun-filled Fall Frolic. The event was held at the Vidalia Community Center in one of the recently constructed community rooms. Approximately 160 seniors enjoyed a day of fun and fellowship. Many came dressed for the occasion in a variety of creative costumes. Individuals and groups were invited to have their photograph taken in front of a lovely fall backdrop. Once photos were developed, they were sent to each county site to be given to the seniors. Music and laughter filled the room as participants danced and enjoyed the fellowship. A dance contest was held and Mr. Laury Byrd was declared the winner. Mrs. Joyce Aloy won a very close costume contest. Local business owner, Ann Owens, emceed the event and kept the crowd entertained with her wit and charm. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal while enjoying the comedy of “Miss Minnie Pearl” and the day ended with more dancing and drawings for numerous door prizes. We would like to thank the following people:
